After four long years the Mac mini
is back and better than ever! Apple announced at its Brooklyn press
event today that the new Mini has a sleek design, a new space-gray
finish, and, most importantly, a lot more processing power. The device
is five times faster than its predecessor, Apple says. The entry level
Mac Mini will cost $799, has 3.6GHz Core i3, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of
flash storage, but you can upgrade all the way up to 64GB RAM, and a 2TB
solid state drive. Overall is is a much more powerful system, up to
five times faster in raw computing power, with 60 percent faster
graphics. As for connectivity, it comes with ports aplenty: one ethernet
(upgradeable to 10GB), four Thunderbolt 3, one HDMI, and two USB-A.
