BMW GARMISCH

BMW
have brought to life a long-lost concept by Marcello Gandini, one of
the grandmasters of car design. He was responsible for legendary cars
like the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, or the Lancia Stratos. Presented at
the Geneva Motor Show in 1970, the gorgeous Garmisch was never seen
again, until now. The painstakingly created reproduction was built under
the stewardship of BMW Group design head Adrian van Hooydonk, it
features a clean side profile that is not unlike most other sedans of
the period, a signature BMW kidney grille, squared headlamps, and a
honeycomb-patterned mesh over the rear window, a trademark of Gandini?s
style. The whole thing was covered with a light champagne metallic color
and the interior evokes the bold styling of the era with details like a
vertical radio on the center console and a large fold-out mirror for
the passenger. The one-off is being moved to the BMW Museum in Munich.
Now that is a shame, because this is one cool as hell car. watch the video below
