EPHEMERAL TATTOOS

Ephemeral
is a new form of tattoo ink that lasts a year and then goes away! If
you?re one of those people constantly thinking of getting a tattoo but
haven?t had the courage to go through with it because of the lifetime
commitment, this year-long solution could be of interest. The key is the
size of the pigments used in the ink, co-founder Anthony Lam explains
“What we have done differently is encapsulate tiny dye molecules – much
smaller than the pigments used in traditional tattoo ink – in a
multicomponent sphere made completely of biomaterials?. Ephemeral is a
two-part system, involving an ink designed to break down after a year,
along with a separate removal solution. Both application and removal can
be done by tattoo artists using their existing equipment.
