Created by designer Simon Forgacs, the Mono Lamp was born from his fascination with the famous TV test cards, appearing as colorful geometric shapes with vivid colors on his TV screen as a child. He was mesmerized by these light patterns, therefore, he wanted to capture their essence in a symbolic object, which led to the creation of the Mono Lamp series. Inspired by a now over 50 years old TV test card, the lamp is available in either color or greyscale versions, both come with an ash wood and aluminum base, a 30 cm-diameter illuminated plastic globe and an easily replaceable standard light bulb. The final effect gives off an ambient lighting, with warmer or cooler tones, depending on the surface color. watch the video below
