GQ Kylie Jenner Travis Scott 2018 August Issue

After the birth of their daughter earlier this year, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have now done their first official joint interview and photoshoot. Sitting down for GQ’s August cover story, the pair discuss their relationship, how they met and the “Kardashian Curse.”

Elsewhere, the feature takes in an impromptu basketball game organized by Travis, a FaceTime call with Kanye West and Kid Cudi (over a scrapped Kids See Ghosts verse) and Kylie’s new-found status as an almost-billionaire. Travis also briefly describes his upcoming Astroworld process, explaining that the album “touches home base.” You can read some key quotes from the article below, and head over to the GQ site to read the full article.

On the early days of their relationship:

Kylie: “Coachella was one of the stops on his tour. So he said, ‘I’m going back on tour—what do we want to do about this?’ Because we obviously liked each other. And I was like, ‘I guess I’m going with you.’ …I really jumped on the bus. And then we rode off into the sunset. I did the whole tour with him.”

On Travis Scott’s biggest mistakes:

Travis: “I wouldn’t have worn snapbacks … And also I would’ve definitely hid—hard—until my hair grew out, bro. I hate when people randomly take pictures of me. I’d look crazy as fuck in them. No lineup, no nothing.”

On the “Kardashian Curse:”

Travis: “I don’t even be looking at motherfuckers. I don’t be looking at shit. Kylie actually likes me for me. … I’m on my own island. So hey, come over there to Astroworld. I’m not into all the other shit. I don’t get involved. I’m over here. Kylie is different.”

Kylie: “They come and can’t handle it … I know these stories aren’t going to matter, so don’t even let them affect you, you know?…It’s not just men—it’s friends, it’s people who come and just don’t know how to handle it. It’s the negative. There’s a lot of people who love us, but there’s also a huge handful of people who don’t like us.”

In related news, Kylie Jenner has been named one of the world’s highest-paid entertainers.
