SSS World Corp’s SS19 Collection Was an Ode to Crusty Surfers

With Paris Fashion Week slowly winding down, Justin O’Shea injects an eye-grabbing pick-me-up with his label SSS World Corp’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

Inspired by an encounter with a feral surfer in his Australian homestead, the label’s latest range is a familiar mixture of O’Shea’s Tarantino-meets-casino tycoon ready-to-wear. Tribal graphics, snakeskin prints and swirls of tie-dye were emblazoned on everything from silk shirting, tailored suits and T-shirts. Athletic short-shorts were paired with knee-high socks and moccasin loafers, pinstripe pants were fastened by belts with big, gaudy buckles (naturally) and blazers sported sequins and crushed velvet. This season also marked SSS World Corp’s debut foray into womenswear, which essentially mirrored the masculine offerings but with traditional female staples such skirts, bralettes, tube tops and dresses.
