UPDATE: According to an exclusive by Vogue, Abloh’s Apple Music Beats 1 Radio Show will debut on Monday, June 18 at 10 AM EST. Titled “Televised Radio,” the program will be recorded in Paris at Louis Vuitton’s atelier. “The channel will be an “audio mood board” of sorts, with new music played alongside classic hits and plenty of guest contributors being invited into the studio for discussions about art, design, fashion, and music,” according to the publication.
Larry Jackson, Apple Music‘s content head, took to Louis Vuitton‘s Paris headquarters to tease some big news. In an Instagram post, Jackson announced hinted at a forthcoming radio show starring none other than Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director, Virgil Abloh. The accompanying photo sees Jackson and Abloh standing next to DJ Pedro Cavaliere, surrounded by sound equipment arranged on an LV monogram carpet.
Abloh himself has yet to confirm the news, but his Story does offer footage of Abloh DJing alongside Jackson and Cavaliere, possibly offering a taste of the music to come.
Most recently, Abloh’s collaborative Air Jordan 1 “Powder Blue” saw a surprise drop on Nike’s SNKRS app.
