Aquila Yachts represents the latest, exciting evolution in multi-hull crafts. In 2012, a group of boating experts from development, design and manufacturing firms – Sino Eagle Group, J&J Design Group, Seaway and MarineMax – got together to collaborate and expand the Aquila range by developing a new, purebred power catamaran. Today, the brand offers motor yachts that combine practicality and comfort with trendsetting innovations and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Launched at the 2017 Miami Boat Show, the Aquila 36 represents the latest innovation from the world’s leading power catamaran brand. The all-new Aquila 36 is a power catamaran offering rigorous strength and control while blending plentiful live aboard space with areas for socialising.
Choose from a collapsible Sunbrella Bimini or the expansive hard top with an optional electric sunroof. The wrap around windscreen is larger than on most 55-foot yachts. Offering the conveniences of a large yacht, the expansive on-deck salon and topside summer kitchen with smokeless grill, is the perfect area for entertaining guests while offering an optional barbeque area for family gatherings. For those planning to entertain large groups, a second barbeque and additional refrigeration can be catered. The Aquila 36 has cockpit seating for over two-dozen adults and two comfortable cabins with private en-suite heads.
Forward there is seating for eight, which transforms into two double sun beds. Aft there is seating that also transforms into a double sunbed, providing comfortable sunbeds for six guests at one time. The aft platform has storage for a large swim ladder or an optional hydraulic swim platform as seen on luxury yachts. This makes access to and from the water a breeze.
The driver’s seat has excellent visibility all round and a companion seat to starboard. To port is a comfortable two seater. As with all Aquila Power Catamarans, a safe comfortable walk through to the forward deck is standard. There are also boarding gates in the hull both port and starboard.
Powered by efficient and reliable twin 250 horsepower Mercury Verado outboards, the Aquila 36 provides spirited performance and excellent fuel economy. Alternatively, step up to the optional twin 300 or twin 350 horsepower Mercury Verado outboards for more exhilaration. If you add its open water capabilities, wide stance and twin sponsons, then the craft is remarkably stable, making it exceptionally comfortable at high speeds or while moored.
Designed to be a luxury weekend family boat, it can also transform into an ocean-going fishing boat, a dive boat, or even a passenger vessel. Aquila has established a new standard in power catamaran innovation with the perfect blend of form, function, and technologies. The Aquila range continues to expand and currently consists of the Aquila 36, Aquila 38, Aquila 44 and Aquila 48.
