Vandal-A has made quite a mark in the world of sneakers and streetwear over the last decade. You may recognize the clean “OG” logo that many of hip-hop’s finest rocking on the regular, but the NY-based brand has been creating some dope graphic tees and apparel that coincide with some of the best sneakers in history (not to mention his incredible Viotech-inspired Air Force 1 Bespoke for his personal collection).

Today, on Vandal-A’s company anniversary, the brand unveils their official collaboration with Nike on the Vandal High silhouette. The color combination of olive green and infrared is a nod to their staple “hunting season” colorway, but this exceptional design goes beyond the color-blocking. Rife with hunting gear detailing, the Vandal-A x Nike Vandal High features a zippered pocket on the tongue, a buckle clasp in place of the standard strap, and roped lacing to complete the hunting gear aesthetic. Additional detailing includes the miniature Swoosh at the forefoot (a first for the Vandal) and the “OG” logo on the tongue.

The most intriguing detail is that the outermost olive green layer can tear away over time through wear, revealing a new white layer with Vandal-A’s “ORIGINAL” print. This is a nod to artist Geoff McFetridge and his Vandal High Supreme collaborations of 2003; he introduced the pioneering tear-away aspect on this silhouette in three colorways – white/blue, white/olive, and grey/orange.

Currently, there is no release information yet, but get a first detailed look here and stay tuned for the latest on one of the year’s best collaborations yet.
