Best Sneaker Releases: November 2018 Week 4

Last week saw release such as the Just Don x Converse ERX, adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Sesame,” PUMA CELL Endura “Patent 98” and a few others. This week continues to build this year’s anticipation for the holiday season with special drops from Nike Basketball and continuing adidas YEEZY lineage. In addition, one of the Three Stripes most popular running models makes a quick comeback to top off the week.

Tyler, The Creator x Converse Artist Series

Converse’s new artists series kicks things off with the Converse Chuck 70 and One Star silhouettes. Curated by Tyler, The Creator, the duo tap Wyatt Navarro and Øyvind Lauvdahl for canvases featuring the artists’ hand drawn-like prints. The first Chuck 70 shares colorful drawing from Wyatt while the One Star adds Norway-inspired graphics. Lastly, the final Chuck 70 combines the two artists’ work with split side designs.

Nike Air VaporMax 2019 “Crimson Gold”

Nike‘s original Air VaporMax model has seen its fair share of iterations since its debut, but the futuristic runner begins its next chapter with a new 2019 edition. The model shares a translucent upper similar to the Zoom Fly SP as the Air VaporMax unit returns. The Swoosh is moved toward the middle of the upper with the heel counter incorporating VaporMax callouts.

Nike Air Max 97/BW

The Nike Air Max 97/BW continues the Swoosh’s love for hybrids. The favored full-length Air Max unit supports the BW upper in three new colorways of “Atlantic Blue,” “Deep Royal” and “Metallic Gold.” In addition, Nike Swooshes are added to the lateral and medial sides as they wrap around the heel. Air Max branding also complements the heel with Nike Sportswear’s “signature “Nike Air” stamp on the tongue.

Nike Kyrie 5 “Taco”

After being pushed back from last week, the collaborative Nike Kyrie 5 “Taco” finally arrives boasting intricate features. Its upper sports all-over real tree camo with bright orange accents. The venus flytrap-inspired containment system also provides a flexible lockdown in support of the silhouette’s articulated Air Zoom Turbo unit. Lastly, a huge reflective Swoosh hits each lateral side to finish things off.

Nike PG 2.5 “PlayStation”

Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George shares his love for gaming with the Nike PG 2.5 “PlayStation.” Following the PG 2 “PlayStation” which released earlier in the year, Nike channels some of the same design features with the classic grey PlayStation used as an influence. The controller’s icons are added throughout section of the upper – the heel and strap – with its multicolored logo added to the left tongue. The right tongue sports a light-up PG logo to close the second PG x PlayStation chapter.

adidas YEEZY 500 “Salt”

Last week we saw the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Sesame” hit shelves and this week ushers in a brand new YEEZY 500 colorway. The low-profile sneaker welcomes a “Salt” moniker onto its multilayered upper. A mix of premium leather and cow suede are complemented by mesh and nubuck accents atop its adiPRENE+ cushioning.

Air Jordan 10 “Orlando”

The long-overdue Air Jordan 10 “Orlando” is back. Aside from his six rings and countless amount of accolades, Michael Jordan frequently used some of his best rivalries as inspiration on the hardwood and for his kicks. MJ’s rivalry with Penny Hardaway and the Orlando Magic inspire this edition which adds royal accents to complement a white and black upper.

adidas UltraBOOST OG

The original adidas UltraBOOST is making a comeback only three years after its debut. Since then we’ve seen the runner add various Primeknit patterns in addition to a few new colors on its BOOST midsole. This week, its signature purple heel counter is joined by metallic UltraBOOST branding and a black lacing cage. To complete the design, a subtle adidas insignia is placed on the tongue.
