Carhartt WIP & Punk Band Neu! Unveil Collection

As part of the Spring/Summer 2018 season, Carhartt WIP fashioned a capsule collection alongside German punk/electronic band Neu! Forming in the early ‘70s and later disbanding in the mid-‘80s, the group, although lacked mainstream commercial success, has long been credited for helping shape much of what we know as post-punk music, influencing the likes of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Thom Yorke.

Dual branding and related Neu! accents can be found emblazoned on a slew of casual staples, including T-shirts, socks, tote bag and a pair of white overalls, similar to the ones drummer Klaus Dinger use to wear. To help complement the lineup, Grönland Records had been tasked to produce 1000 copies of Neu!’s “SUPER/NEUSCHNEE” 7′′ single, which will be offered exclusively at select Carhartt WIP stores.

In the meantime, look for the Neu! x Carhartt WIP collection in stores come April 26. In other fashion news, Acne Studios recently announced a 48-hour online archive sale.
