Fear of God x Barton Perreira FGBP.2020 Collection

Following its Ermenegildo Zegna collaboration, Fear of God has now teamed up with Barton Perreira on a limited sunglasses collection. The latest collaboration is built off of a shared Los Angeles spirit and driven by a fearless commitment to artistry and integrity tied to core their brand ideals.

Inspired by the Barton Perreira optical glasses Jerry Lorenzo wears daily, the FGBP.2020 frame builds on the tool that aids the designer in his everyday design process. Coming in a classic rectangular acetate shape, the frames come to life with five different colorways. Paired with two lens sizes in light gradient washes, the tones reference Lorenzo’s signature natural earth tone hues. Each limited-edition style comes complete with special Fear of God x Barton Perreira packaging.

Priced at $510 USD, the four colorways included in the FGBP.2020 collection are set to be available exclusively at Barton Perreira and on Fear of God’s website June 19. Also, catch a statement from Jerry Lorenzo regarding the collaboration below.

“This is a personal project for me as I’ve been looking through Barton Perreira frames since the inception of Fear of God seven years ago. How I see the world determines how I approach design with the purpose of redefining how the world sees me. Barton Perreira’s optical glasses are designed in a way that allows a beautiful frame to take a back seat to the subject who’s wearing them. I love this approach to design, where the focus is on the subject and not the physical proposition. I wanted to bring a sense of modernity to the classic frame that I’ve been wearing for the past seven years. Through Fear of God’s design filter and Barton Perreira’s craftsmanship and perspective, I’m super humbled to present a modern optical frame that also feels like the perfect vintage sunglass.”
