Ghostbusters x K-Swiss 35th Anniversary Capsule

To celebrate Ghostbusters‘ 35th anniversary, the creatives over at K-Swiss have incorporated two of the film’s biggest villains into sneaker models.

The Foot Locker exclusive capsule consists of K-Swiss’ Classic 2000 and Si-18 International silhouettes, seeing the former dressed in the colors of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man while the latter sports an Ectoplasm green of Slimer. For the Si-18 International “Stay Puft,” the majority of the white leather sneaker is accented with navy blue and red detailing, paying homage to the Marshmallow Man’s sailor collar and hat. Additionally, a Stay Puft tongue tag, insoles, branded laces and heels add the final touches to this collaborative pair.

Over on Classic 2000 “Slimer,” the sneaker is dressed head-to-toe in “Ectoplasm Green” aside from the metal eyestays and the translucent PVC upper which allows the color hue to shine through. The back of the tongue is colored pink to represent Slimer’s actual tongue while the insoles don a drawing of the character. Finally glow-in-the-dark outsoles add a special finishing touch.

Both pairs, designed by sneaker customizer Alexander-John, come dressed with special Ghostbusters 35th anniversary logos and will be packaged in boxes designed like the ghost traps in the film.

To get your hands on the K-Swiss x Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary capsule, the sneakers will be available at the Ghostbusters Fan Fest at the Sony Pictures Studio Lot on June 8. The sneakers will also land on footlocker.com the same day.

Ghostbusters has influenced many young boys and girls around the world since the film’s 1984 release. Since then the cult classic film has seen an all-female reboot and will see a sequel next year.
