Gosha Rubchinskiy Releases 17-Minute Short Film Alongside SS17 Menswear Collection

Gosha Rubchinskiy has been quite the busy man as of late. The in-demand designer recently released an exclusive capsule for Dover Street Market — in addition to curating a collection for his most recent muse, Valentin Fufaev — all just before taking to Pitti Uomo as the season’s guest designer to showcase what he has coming up in the near future, specifically for SS17.

Coinciding with today’s debut of his latest menswear collection, the designer has released 17-minute-long black and white silent film, entitled The Day of My Death, that was directed by Russian director and actress Renata Litvinova.

The short film is set in a stark abandoned tobacco factory from the 1930s, the same setting for today’s show. To get a better feel for the location, feel free to browse through LUISAVIAROMA’s Spring/Summer 2015 “L’Esploratore” editorial which was shot in the same tobacco factory.

You can watch the short film below, and be sure to keep an eye out for Gosha’s full SS17 collection.
