Kanye West’s YEEZY Brand Has a New CEO

Kanye West has famously gone on record – on more than one occasion – declaring just how difficult it has been for him to break into the fashion industry.

Indeed, running a global fashion brand is by no means a one-man job (Kanye recently confirmed rumors that Vetements’ Demna Gvasalia had played a part in designing YEEZY Season 1), and seeing as the Ready-to-Wear part of YEEZY is no longer handled by adidas, you’d expect Kanye to be hiring a few key players to help him on his quest to worldwide fashion domination.

Pete Fox, the new CEO of YEEZY

Highsnobiety‘s eagle-eyed internet scouts, thanks to a quick trawl in LinkedIn, discovered that Pete Fox, co-founder of motocross brand Fox Racing, is now the CEO of Kanye’s YEEZY label. For those of you who don’t work white-collar jobs, LinkedIn is basically a professional version of Facebook for people who work in offices (sadly, it looks like Kanye hasn’t signed up yet).

On his new gig, Fox’s LinkedIn states the following:

Yeezy was founded by Kanye West and is defining the future of fashion from our new global headquarters in Calabasas, California. The Yeezy brand designs apparel, accessories and footwear for men, women and kids. Through a partnership with adidas, Yeezy has reinvented the athletic sneaker with the Yeezy 350 Boost shoe.

YEEZY Season 3, by the way, contains both biker pants and gloves made in collaboration with Fox Racing – which is a heavyweight in the motocross business – and we imagine the brand’s co-founder will bring a considerable amount of industry experience to Kanye’s brand.
