Loopwheeler celebrates 20 strong years of being one of two last remaining companies that still provides loopwheeled garments. As part of that celebration, Loopwheeler is taking its 1920s-era techniques and applying them to Danish architect Arne Jacobsen’s iconic Series 7 chair.
Continuing its partnership with BUILDING, the duo have taken the 60-year-old design and completely wrapped the wooden chair’s exterior with Loppwheeler’s signature fleece fabric, and have added cushioning. Since starting off in 1999, Loopwheeler has been defined by its soft, premium sweatshirts, often coming in the colors grey, black, marine and oatmeal. The 20th anniversary chairs follow suit, as they take on similar shades as the sweatshirts — upholstered by the finest specialists.
Those interested can pre-order the chairs now over at BUILDING’s website, where they can be purchased for ¥78,000 JPY (approximately $722 USD).
