First seen during the French house’s Artisinal runway show in January, Maison Margiela granted a closer look at its collaborative Reebok Tabi Pump Fury sneakers at its recent mainline Paris Fashion Week presentation. Uniting signature design cues from both brands, the shoes are offered in a host of colorways that nod to Reebok‘s heritage.
Each of the six sneakers is imagined as an homage to Reebok’s OG Instapump Fury, with tonal black and white colorways offered alongside blue/red, black/red, black/red/white and the iconic yellow/red/white/black. Reebok’s Instapump technology appears on the midfoot, with the paneling and outsole all indebted to the original Instapump Fury design. Margiela’s Tabi boot inspires the shoe’s other details, including a tall heel, sleek ankle shaft and of course, the divisive split-toebox.
Expect all of Maison Margiela’s collaborative Reebok Tabi sneakers to launch in September.
Most recently, Reebok issued a retro-indebted Pump Court silhouette.
