Nepenthes Explores Japan’s Dekotora Obsession in SS16 “On The Road” Editorial

Japanese retailer Nepenthes has unveiled the imagery for its Spring/Summer 2016 “On The Road” editorial, which examines the trucker subculture known as Dekotora. The cultural phenomenon, in which drivers turn their trucks into lavish showpieces, has grown into somewhat of a national obsession, becoming of a country already known for doing things in excess. The garish embellishments of each truck in the set are offset by relaxed menswear pieces from Engineered Garments and Needles.
