Philippe Coutinho Is a Barca Player, According to Nike

The future of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has been up in the air since the summer when the Reds rejected offers in excess of £100 million GBP (approximately $135 million USD) from the Catalans for their South American star. But now it seems the deal is done according to Nike‘s website. The sportswear giant recently placed an ad — which has now been deleted from the site — for Philippe Coutinho Barcelona shirts on its website.

The advert had a headline that read, “Where the Magic Happens” followed by “Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou. Get your 2017/18 FC Barcelona kit with the Magician’s name on it. Act fast — free personalisation only available until January 6.”

On the transfer news, Coutinho stated, “I do not know how the future is going to be. What will happen in January, we will know it in January. I do not know if there will be an offer.” The transfer window is set to open again on Monday, when Virgil van Dijk will complete his £75 million GBP (approximately $101 million USD) move to Liverpool from Southampton. Spanish newspaper Sport claim a meeting is being set up on January 3 by Barcelona to discuss a transfer.
