People want to know what she’s wearing, where she’s copping her clothing, and they’re also hoping to catch a glimpse of her boyfriend, rising rapper Lil Uzi Vert.
With summer in full swing and festival season at its peak, we asked Brittany to tell us a bit more about her style cues, and drop a few words on how to play around with men’s and women’s pieces this season.
What’s your secret for pulling off the tomboy look?
There is no secret, either you have it or you don’t. I played sports growing up and it became a part of my life so I just integrated it by nature into my day to day.
What’s your must-have summer accessory?
My must-have summer accessory would have to be grills…On the top and bottom.
What should be in every sneaker lover’s summer rotation?
A classic pair of uptowns (Air Force 1s).
You thrift a lot, what kind of items do you tend to look for?
I’m always on the lookout for a pair vintage light-wash Levi’s with the perfect fit. I’m into vintage Dior too, it just does something for the soul.
Lil Uzi Vert is your bae. Do you ever steal his clothes?
I always steal his clothes and he always gets on me if he sees it on the ‘gram before he realizes I took something. He always has the coolest sweaters and jackets. Just because I know it’s his I go extra crazy and pair it with mad different items.
Sunglasses or nah? If yes, what brands?
I can’t live without sunglasses, they are my second favorite summer accessory. I’d say Acne and Saint Laurent for sure.
Best items for poolside?
You shouldn’t have on too much, but a good pair of adidas slides never fails.
What’s your best advice for dressing for music festivals?
For music festivals, my best advice would be vintage tees.
What designer do you have your eye on for summer?
Alessandro Michelle is doing an impeccable job across the board at Gucci, from the ready-to-wear to the accessories. I’m loving anything from Gucci for the summer at the moment.
What’s your favorite place to shop in NYC?
My favorite place to shop in NYC is Totokaelo.
