Supreme Spring/Summer 2018 Drop 11 Release Info

This week’s Supreme special focuses on the boldly printed pieces based on original artwork by Lee Quiñones — the legendary Peurto Rican graffiti artist who rose to fame in the ’70s and ’80s from the NYC street art movement with the likes of Fab 5 Freddy, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. The Lee Quiñones x Supreme collab pieces include all-over Lion’s Den print denim trucker jacket and pants, The Yard zip-up hoodie, squirrel graphic print hoodie and skate decks — all of which will be highly sought-after collectibles for Supreme and art devotees alike. For those of simpler tastes, Supreme’s accessories category pulled through with a two-piece jar set to stash your goodies in.

But as with every week, this week is not just about Supreme. Palace debuted its latest Summer 2018 collection with its first drop releasing alongside the launch of the label’s new Japan web store; KITH presented its Tracksuit Program, which offers premium versions of the streetwear staple in a variety of cuts and colors; and Balenciaga‘s Spring/Summer 2018 collection has finally hit the shelves for those looking for casual-gear flexes from the luxury section and new Triple S‘s.

NikeLab GYAKUSOU Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

Returning for Spring/Summer 2018, GYAKUSOU, the running brand brainchild of NikeLab and UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi recently showed off the new bold looks created for the warm weather season. This time around GYAKUSOU put together an expansive range of running wear constructed of state of the art textiles and functionality in mind. Additionally, the collection offers a new focus on the relationship between running and travel with convertible pieces like the Hooded Jacket which can be adapted to a vest form. While the Short-Sleeve Packable Jacket and Dri-FIT Shorts comes equipped with zippered and stash pocket perfectly express the label’s straddling of sport and fashion.

JOURNAL STANDARD My Hero Academia Collection

Japanese retailer JOURNAL STANDARD has united with popular manga series My Hero Academia for a new collaborative collection of T-shirts and bags. The limited edition range includes two short-sleeve graphic tees, a long-sleeve reversible tee and a double-sided tote bag featuring branding from both the series and JOURNAL STANDARD. Characters Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka appear in green and pink graphics on the short-sleeve shirts, while Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugou are seen on the long-sleeve shirt, which also boasts “MHA” and “PLUS ULTRA” insignia. The collection pieces are available to order now until May 13 with mid-June delivery.

Palace Summer 2018 Collection

Palace‘s newest Summer 2018 collection debuted earlier this week via the above Juergen Teller-lensed lookbook, followed by a comprehensive look at every single piece form the range. This season’s specials include new GORE-TEX pieces and a collaboration with Californian performance label Oakley. Among the expected delivery of streetwear staples, notable pieces include the camo “Moorish” jackets and pants, the lightweight outerwear, the Oakley thermo-nuclear track jackets, shorts, hats and sunglasses made with Oakley, as well as the bright-orange luggage capsule. As for graphics, this season’s flagship designs include a new panda bear graphic, an all-over beach wave print and the classic Triferg logo made up of bones. Palace Summer 2018 collection Drop 1 will release with the official launch of the Japan online store on May 4, 11:00 a.m. Tokyo time.

HUMAN MADE Spring/Summer 2018 Rings

Expanding its offerings, HUMAN MADE recently released a pair of rings for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. Following its signature “future vintage” aesthetic, the new Gold Triple Ring and Gold College Ring from the NIGO helmed label channels vintage Americana codes with subtle detailing. Handcrafted in Japan, both rings feature a retro gold tone and are detailed with engraved HUMAN MADE branding. The Gold College Ring is done in a collegiate style with an engraved logo pearlescent face and framed by accent engraving. While the stack style Gold Triple Ring sports hand-painted engraving and can be worn together or separately.

Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2018 New Releases

Balenciaga’s highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2018 collection has finally hit the shelves. Landing for this season is a number of loose-fitting outerwear pieces such as track jackets, a denim jacket and a large puffer. Also back by popular demand is the Triple S sneaker, which comes in two new colorways of black/grey/red and black/burgundy/white. Awake NY for Dover Street Market Limited Edition T-Shirts

To commemorate its Spring Open House celebration, Dover Street Market linked up with Awake NY for a special T-shirt release and installation. Accompanying the drop of Awake’s Spring 2018 drop, the limited edition tee features black and pink co-branding and a globe graphic on the front, along with an oversized DSM branding on the rear above details of the event. An homage to historic NYC locations, the special installation spotlights locations like Jamaica Colosseum Mall and the airbrushing visible on 42nd Street, to serve as a tribute to the artistic innovations of New York City in the late 20th century.

KITH Tracksuit Program

Comfort and effortless styling come to mind for KITH’s latest Tracksuit Program. This week’s Supreme drop focuses on the boldly printed Lee Quiñones pieces. The legendary Peurto Rican graffiti artist rose to fame in the ’70s and ’80s from the NYC street art movement (with the likes of Fab 5 Freddy, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring) and garnered both critical and mainstream acclaim when he became the first to paint an entire NYC subway train in 1976. Quiñones was raised in the Lower East Side and was known for his humorous pop cultural references, covert social commentary and comic-inspired style. The Lee Quiñones x Supreme collab pieces include all-over Lion’s Den print denim trucker jacket and pants, The Yard zip-up hoodie, squirrel graphic print hoodie, graphic long-sleeve tees and printed skate decks. Supreme’s art-infused release is balanced out with the very basic but inevitably very hype two-piece jar set from the accessories category. Sean Wotherspoon x GUESS Jeans USA Collection

Sean Wotherspoon has teamed up with GUESS Jeans USA on a capsule collection featuring reworked vintage GUESS silhouettes and Sean’s signature color-centric aesthetic that became so popular with his Nike Air Max 97. Drawing heavily from ’80s and ’90s codes, the collection’s “Farmer’s Market” theme focuses on summery hues that nod to California’s rich varieties of fruits, vegetables and flowers.
