UNDERCOVER Taps 'Akira' Creator to Design 'Isle of Dogs' T-Shirt

To commemorate Wes Anderson‘s recent Isle of Dogs film, UNDERCOVER is joining forces with Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo for an exclusive shirt. UNDERCOVER founder Jun Takahashi actually contributed voice work to the film, so the partnership is more aligned than not. A pair of tees center around Otomo’s recognizable art style, with an illustrative reimagining of the film’s characters featured on the front of a black or white shirt, while UNDERCOVER branding appears on the rear.

The size M-only shirts launch on May 25 as a limited edition gift for customers who spend ¥50,000 JPY or more (approximately $450 USD) at UNDERCOVER’s Roppongi Hills outpost. Most recently, imagery surfaced of UNDERCOVER’s collaborative Nike Epic React sneakers.
