Yu Nagaba Doodles Japanese Models on Tees for BEAMS

Japanese artist Yu Nagaba rejoins BEAMS for another understated summer collection. Following the pair’s G-SHOCK collaboration, this new release centers around four white T-shirts emblazoned with Nagaba’s signature illustrations. The artwork is inspired by four Japanese models, with the poses and imagery sourced from the models’ Instagram posts. Nagaba reworked the images, simplifying the faces, poses and backgrounds in his lighthearted doodle-like style. Each image includes occasional pops of color, a border and each model’s Instagram handle.

The tees launch June 2 for ¥4,500 JPY (about $42 USD) via BEAMS’s web store and physical locations. Most recently, the retailer joined The North Face for a collection of exclusive outdoors-inspired gear.
