We have featured several retreat cabins over the years, but none as lively as this vibrant impression on the Chilean landscape. La Roja house by Felipe Assadi Arquitectos
is located in a low-density, mountain area in San Jose de Maipo, Chile.
The cube-like home has a vivid scarlet exterior that contrasts with its
lush, green surroundings, and unlike the exterior, the interior
features bright, airy interior spaces, and carries a more muted palette
with walls lined in blonde plywood and neutral floor tiles. The remote
dwelling encompasses 87 square metres, distributed across two levels
that are separated by a very cool floating staircase.
