A harpist serenades the crowd at the Time to Celebrate event by Blancpain

The start of every year signals a rush of activity. With plans looming large over businesses, it’s easy to get lost in the fast-paced world of today. Our friends at Blancpain however, understand that everyone needs to take a little time out to stop, smell the roses, and then forge ahead. In this case, maybe a glass of champagne would help.

In that spirit, the brand brought together friends from the media as well as collectors to take a minute to celebrate both the year that has past, as well as the future. Emmy Tellier, vice-president of Blancpain SEA, shared with the attendees that 2018 had been a good year for the brand and that she was looking forward to pushing Blancpain further this year.

It’s not quite an uphill climb, with Swatch Group’s Key Figures release at the end of January stating, “Blancpain ended 2018 with record sales. The product Fifty Fathoms is one of the drivers of this success. The brand appeals ideally to the millennium generation, and strong growth is also expected in 2019.” With a strong statement backing the brand, we’re sure plenty can be expected of Blancpain this year.
